Homeless

Homeless

Please don’t walk bye,
 when you see me here,
 begging on the street
I’m not here out of choice ,
I’m here to make ends meet.

Don’t look at me with such contempt ,
Who gave you the right to judge.
I need to find a way out,
I just need that little nudge,

Have you no compassion,
where is your heart,
I need some help, don’t you understand,
To make that first start.

How much more could I lose
I have no home,no wife,no shoes.
My pockets empty all the time,
That’s why I have to beg,
Is that a crime.

I’m stuck out here in the cold and rain,
Sometimes look at you,
Through the window pane.
Wish I could change the way things are,
But the chance of that,
seems very far.

i need to find a way out,
that will change my destiny.
A new road that i could travel on,
That leads to hope and opportunity

There can be many false starts by no choice of our own, I know what it's like to be without a home. Peace!
