"Hope Found In Horror"

"I've sat so quietly,
so many times at the end of my rope,
thinking to myself,
I am done with the dope.
Teetering so closely,
at the very edge of the brink,
rock bottoms have the most magnificent way of making you think,
but in my deepest, darkest, depressive desire,
I've always found some hope,
in that God, some true friends, and my mom always care,
so I'm done with this fog,
and this mired down, endlessly rotten, sickening bog!
I have one life and I'm going to live,
for today the old me, thank You God, I forgive."
