I keep telling myself it’ll get better 
Once I’m grown 
Only now it feels like I face the pain all alone
No one listens or has the time of day
So I seek god and I pray and I pray
I hope for love and peace in my life
I hope he casts out the darkness 
I hope he brings me light
I hope the hate I have 
Turns into love
I hope the angels are protecting me
From up above
I miss the times when others wouldn’t lie
I miss when I wasn’t burying a loved one
And saying goodbye
I miss the times when my grandparents were healthy and chased me around 
I miss when my soul wasn’t shattered to a million pieces on the ground
I miss when I could feel no pressure at all
I miss when I would only graze my knee when I would fall
I hope god sees the love in my heart
I hope god heals all the open wounds
I hope for peace, I hope for healing
I hope for my loved ones god keeps stealing 
God, if you’re listening help me please
Help bring love back into my life
Help me see that after darkness 
There will be light.
