How Deep
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
So, behold as I love, cherish and hold her
Gently caressing her beauty
Before I knew her
To show her
My interest was peaked
Now it's her eye, I seek
Or simply a glare
As she passes
I catch the scent of her Ora
Dangling from the same flowing hair
I often dream of almost
Daring to stream my fingers through
Then the daydream
Transforms into fantasies
Of you and I in a slow dance
Through the cosmos
And Her eyes....
Your eyes, glowing from brown to hazel
Then the skies bow
As the clouds send their praises
To our Love
That tickles the feet of the Heavens
Now what?
Have we reached our climax?
Has our fairy tale
Become cold hard facts?
No longer cause and react
But cause to react....
A scripted clause written for scenes to act?
No impromptu
But rehearsed actions
Because we have long passed the infatuation
Placing routine in the stead of
Genuine captivation of one another
Feather weight words
Fall on deaf ears
As tears rock you to sleep
And deep seeded pain
Comforts my unwelcome memories...
But sturdy we have become
A rock to the other's hard place
So, I pamper her face
And she cradles my fears
My heart weeps in our midnight hour
And there you are
To save me
Whispering…..
"I Love You
