I HAD NO WORDS

I HAD NO WORDS

I have no words the shock has only now sunk in
I have no words where do I start? where do I begin?
A whole village is in mourning, sad with so much disbelief
the news that you have left us,hearts are aching in grief

You were the spirit of our community, generous and kind
your traits were your laughter, and unforgettable smile
No one understands your death we all ask the question why?
what was going through your mind, why did you want to die?

My heart hurts for your family, they mourn and question too
no one knows the answers though, they`re taken to the grave with you
One thing I know for sure is though, your legacy will be kept alive
because you gave your all, helping others, with tenacity and drive

Know this village will always remember you, respect you gained tenfold
even though there will be many tears yet, and hearts to be consoled
I had no words! but to speak of a great man came easier than I thought
and so I think of you in gods keeping now.an earthly angel, never to be forgot

H Merrill This was a man from our village who
was a man who raised thousands of pounds for children
mostly, but adults too
who were ill who needed a holiday or disablement aides
with various events he organized and participated in
he was loved and respected by all he was always smiling always laughing
our community is in shock by his death
I just wanted to write out how we are all feeling as a release

My Dear Debs,

So sorry to hear of your pain.  You have written a beautiful tribute to your departed friend.  I have written a Tanka in his honor.

.

People's minds complex

Impossible to see through

While souls are sobbing

Crocodile smiles are glowing

Their demise, a total shock

.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

A lovely cathartic tribute Debs,I hope it goes someway in easing the shock and sadness- though that in itself is natural.I don't know the situation there but it sounds like this fellow will be the subject of many a fine poem.

God bless

John
