I Married The Maid

No, not me - others who went to Phillipines,
paid for subservience, whatever that means,
companionship, I'll take care of you Dolly Emma Lou,
sail you back, make love and dress you in indigo blue.
Someone said: 'Marry your own class lad,' we don't ,
we do all the opposites, don't we - as is our wont;
'What does master wish me to do?' 'I'm not your master,
we're equal, ironic that it can turn out to be a disaster.'
'See that Charles married someone from the east,'
'Yes, must have had his eye on an oriental feast,'
'so who's getting the money, saw her on the golf course,
wearing a visor, now any handicap's taxed at source.'
Like Bruce's wife who gazes out over Wentworth in Surrey,
misses the dog but to give up Belgian chocs, no hurry.
