I once met Charles Manson

I once met Charles Manson

I once met Charles Manson,
we shared a spliff
and played each other a song
I played him my song about the sparrow's empty nest
and he played me his
one about
Squeaky Fromme

We talked about life and
all of our hardships
about the air,
water,
trees and
the sun
It seemed at times
that he'd never shut up
man
he just
rambles on
and on

I once met Charles Manson
or Jesus Christ
as he was known
to some
He knew how
to hustle and
how
to talk
the beat
But I didn't care to
listen to
his rap
no more

I once met Charles Manson
we hung out and
talked about love
and
he asked me
what it was that
I wanted from life?
and I answered
"if you wanna hear the god damn honest truth now,
Charlie old boy"
I ouish...only
for that
sweet ass
