I Stand Tall
The storm is blowing real hard… can’t explain
I’m forced to believe it’s hurricane
Life’s arrows at me are dart
And then the sun’s smiles depart
I’m made to wonder what I’ve done
Or better still what I haven’t done
But one thing I’ve decided
And in my heart thus abided
That life may hurl it missiles my way
Alas! I would not be swayed
I’ve made up my mind to stand tall
not to be overridden by travails…at all
Never to despair for what I know would pass
And then my courage all these would surpass
I’d not allow me be defined by circumstances
Even as the pull from all sides advances
I can’t deny my heart bleeds sometimes
But I choose to be happy at all times
And all of these I dare to say I stand tall!

The winds blow strong, bending all in their path. They bring gusts of uncertainty. Our brave heroine no longer kowtows to their travails. She has found her inner strength, to jeer in the face of adversity, and stand tall. For the pendulum of life always swings back from darkness to the sun.

A lovely message to be taken from this piece, "we (all),fall down in life but a survivor gets right back up and continue trying, until the intentions they sought, has been gained. Showing the determined heart you have, to get right back up, no matter what obstacles, are placed before you..Even if sometimes you find yourself hurt in the process of trying to do what's right... You are a giant amongst all of your adversities my friend and will keep standing tall, no matter what...Problems in life come and go quite naturally but it is how we handle those problems, is what determines the favorability, of whethet the outcome is one from lessons to be learned, or ones we will find ourselves, to go on and repeat once again, one time or another.......Love the light you shed on situations we tend to leave festering in the dark..Lovely poem and awesome is the rhyme..Jim
