IDLE TIME

As I gaze at the clock, the ticking is sickening

11:45 and still you're not here

second by second, I patiently wait

for the moment you finally appear

each minute goes by

the solitude intensifies

nothing worst than silence

amplified

my thoughts in my head

coincide with the ticks

it's moments like this I dread

when will you return to reclaim

my sanity, to lighten the load

on my mind

to bring joy back into

this unheartning existence

where lonliness and sadness

intertwine

the rooms seems bigger than

it usually is, the silence drives me insane

each tick that goes by, the seconds, the time

you're away, so very far away
