If broken is Beautiful
Then leave me cracked and crazed
Beautifully broken
By theΒ words you have spoken
If words cannot be unspoken
And echo throughoutΒ timeΒ
Without needing reason nor rhyme
Then You have carved me up
And left me beautifully broken
If by your cold touch and heartless words
You left me dazed and confusedΒ
For wayΒ too many days
Listening to the songs of birds in the darkness
UnrepentantΒ for whom and what I am
Fractured and fazedΒ
The penitent lamb
Kneeling at your altar to be erased
If broken is beautifulΒ
Then leave me here to shed my silent tears
And replay my deepest fears
A sacrificial offering
It was only the other dayΒ
That I heard
Broken can be beautiful..
