Poem -

If I die...

If I die...

If God decides to call me home
And you wake up to find me gone

I know your heart would be broken and you'd be sad
'cos you'd miss me and everything we've ever had

When you think of those wonderful moments shared
Or even times not so good that we have shared

One thing you should know is I'd never leave you
I'd always be by your side to guide you

When you hear a sweet whisper in your ears
That's my way of telling you I'm near

When you walk and you see another shadow beside yours
That it's my way of walking with you through the years

I've tried to please the Lord while here... though not perfectly
It's only a transition to the other side of life…actually

I'd really miss you as much as I know you'd do too
But it's the way of all men and it's just like a queue

One sweet day, we'd reunite and live together forever
And I hope  our love would be as strong as ever

Know that I'd always love you even in death
So, if I die…Don't cry

Hello Sweet Rose...

Though we all get a different address...

The process is the same...

It's the transition that's different...

I told my family and friends when they think of me smile try not too be sad...

We all go through it and we should celebrate it...

Beautiful write!

Thank you for sharing...

Lots of love

Such a beautiful poem, it really captures loss and the pain we have from it, as well as the comfort that a loved is waking beside us through life's hurdles.

My Dear Sweet Rose,

"Au Contraire" dear sweet Rose

You are the life of the party

God needs you on earth to bring joy into many people's lives

You won't be packing your suitcase for many, many decades

You made me cry Rose;

this is feeling poetry at its best

throwing the gauntlet at the reader

to emote; left me with a lumpy throat.

Great piece.

highly emotive poetry of the heart, Rose....it's so honest and intimate as well, you really captured the purest colors in loves' kaleidoscope, such a pure expression of eternal devotion, this is inspiring...you've touched a park of my dark cynical heart today, impressive writing, poet

Hi Rose,

You make death sound as though it's o.k. to let go my friend, no matter what value the stamp, sorrow has placed upon the envelope, during the day of its final deliverance....Whatever stage of theatrics, we have placed and perceived death to be upon, in the after life, from our fathers before us. You have dispelled and totally erased, such an unpleasant myth, in this elogantly written and self acceptance, of our fate, by all mankind...That in fact, (just as you state), it's our loved ones, that sadly has to be a part of the process, which makes this inevitable journey, embarable to have to live without but knowing even death, has no strong hold nor bearing, over the will of human love, allows us to know and accept, that death doesn't hold the blue print, to what means, love has to end, in life or  even afterwards.....You laid this out beautifully Rose, Just as the image chose to represent this piece of poetical justice....Jim.
