If only

Memories on the wall, streets I used to roam
Seeing all the kids with kids, everyone grown
Everyone building lives, house of their own
The cycle continuing, life, happiness, a home
Remember the days when you was young
Your imagination and the songs sung
Remember freedom and summer nights longÂ
When all was alright, we didn’t know any wrongsÂ
When we used to play adult life
When we wanted to be older, didn’t know about the strife
When now it’s big to carry a knife
When now we just want an easy life
I wish we could keep kids small
Worries of the world as they grow tall
Knock knock knock at your door
I pray for a better world that’s for sureÂ
