 If you can read my mind...

 You would know how long it took me to just let go and reach deep down my soul in order to express myself.

If you could read my mind.

Then you won't be judging me assuming that you know so much of me.

 If you could read my mind..

You would know at times that there's no warning signs when I explode.

If you could read my mind..

You would find a heart of gold wrapped in a bow that's hard to grasp and hold.

If you could read my mind.

You would understand the reasons why I hide the truth and cry and beg for hope to see change in our youth.

If you could read my mind.

Then you would never have to question why I seek to find a better side of me to live my life and leave the past behind.

If you can read my mind.

 Then you would be able to read my words before I can even write the next verse!
