I'm Mitch
My favourite time is walkies
I could run and play all day,
They have to bring the extending lead
Because I tend to run away
Β
Sometimes they leave me at home
I stay in the window and stare,
They leave the radio and TV on
But Iβm lonely and donβt think itβs fair
Β
βYouβre going to Grannies, weβll be home soon!β
But she naps a lot in the afternoon,
I steal her stuff, drive her βround the bend
Her hair brush, glasses and βpeoples friendβ
Β
Bath times I hate
Itβs up there with the vets
Bubbly smelly soap
And those bloody shower jets!
Β
The vet puts me on a cold table
He holds me with blue rubber hands
And tells me Iβm a good boy
As he squeezes my anal glands!
Β
When itβs quiet at night
And theyβre snug and asleep
I jump on their bed
And curl up at their feet
Β
If Iβm fast asleep they leave me in bed
But I must get up in case βwalkiesβ is said!
Youβve read my poem now I really must go
The post manβs here, I hate him so!

Sweet.Made me smile.
Thank you
Thanks Cherie
I thought it about time he had his own poem as he's very patient sitting next to me as I write poems on all kinds of things. He loves his granny and she hasn't been well recently so it was nice to include her in a poem about him.
