Infrequent star

Infrequent star

He envelops what he needs the least
With crucial happenings.
Return to sender, in the post
E-mailed, in the wings

Of desire, yearning, habitat
Of afternoon’s delight.
Desultory before day starts
Methodical by night.

Fly away to where’er you mean
To leave a common print
And walk, by day, upon the sand
Swim – by night’s star – within.

He comes to share his life and fill a void
He comes from a darker place.
He comes to hold her precious hand
To lose that look upon his face.

She sees mournfulness below the sea
And happiness, in sight.
Reaching out she feels a loosened heart
There’s no sense of delight.

From darkened cloud to pristine sea
From anonymity
To socialise – to share a life
A life one shares with me.

Their infrequent star, their luminary
Their synergy and glow.
Come swim from your side over mine
Share with me what you know.

Sensualise a sense of belief
Redeem, rejoice in grief
One can’t have pleasure without painful
Attributes in tow.

The sea may be an empty void
The sky a murky cloud
But over you I see a tree
Of love and high renown.
