Into The Light

When my eyes close, you ought to leave the light on
For god only knows, where I may roam when I am gone
Constricted by age, though the fire burns so ever strong
And when in darkness I awake, you will be my only one
My abominable deeds can not yet be undone
As forgiveness is pain merged with empathy
But never have I felt benevolence for this world
So until the angels drag me away, let bleed the life of love
Between the morgue and your mother's ward
I saw the shining beyond your eyes
As I stepped in and crept upon your skin
ββββββWere you aware you would be forever mine
Fear is now your friend and violence your only thought
Initiating harm unto yourself, while the world you withdraw
Haunting your body, I enervate the volition of your mind
Wherein your soul is rotting, as chaos plagues your appetite
Hope bears not a shred for you to harness
As the devil torments, scraping at your walls
Lost and locked within, your own chamber of darkness
Where the only escape is death, though deeper the fall
So slashed and scattered, the casket remains closed shut
As the bell oscillates its toll and mourners crowd the well
But by no means do they know, when the ground opens up
The darkness, it follows and you will never sleep again
