Iron unicorn

Both battle or dance between the dead and livingĀ

Only one can be the victor in the end

You are ice cold, fiercely strong and unforgivingĀ

Although I'm flesh and bone, Ā to my will you bend

With lines drawn, your intimidation I'm unconcernedĀ

With torch ignited your strength will escapeĀ

Your angry glow screams at me as your burned

The heat beckons you toward a new shapeĀ

Blazing fire and swinging hammer forges a new disguiseĀ

Soon no trace of your past form will remain

The sparks dance towards the floor like dying fireflies

The battle over. In the dying glow your slain

In a flash of weld and grinders fury a new path beginsĀ

Your story doesn't end here, you are simply rebornĀ

No second guess of what might have beens

Now one of a kind, you are the iron unicornĀ

The dance between iron and man has altered both in part

The iron has found purpose, a new life and valued use

The man is both humbled and empowered with his art

Peace is made in an iron-man truce

Able to kill or protect according to its designĀ

Can assume both friend or foe to all who attemptĀ

Wether dull and rusted or buffed to a shine

Iron is to be respected not treated with contemptĀ
