Poem -

It makes me MAD!

Small children, ravaged by hunger and thirst

A fate so cruel and even worse

An obese  teen as a beauty queen

Not getting what she wants so she lets out a scream

While the silent child tries his best to remain unseen

That makes me mad!

An old soldier thinking of brothers lost

Shuddering at their sacrificial cost

Traumatic thoughts that have been embossed

But Whitehall wankers, hearts like frost

On to the slag pile his pride was tossed

That makes me mad!

Politicians, power drunk stuper

Destroying the world the old fellars fought for

What they didn’t learn from what came before

Was the dreadful cost of a total world war

And yet it seems all they look for!?

That makes me mad!

Failing schools and run down hospitals

Dangerous dogs and drug dealing delectables

Cannabis smog on the busses and travel tubes

Scary mobs, intimidators and the indirectables

That makes me mad!

So where to next? How to fix this monstrosity

Thats destroying the world with a terminal velocity

My granddad should have warned me as I sat upon his knee

To make the world see my Edenite philosophy

I have to fall back on rudimentary poetry

Cus if I didn’t it’d be bottled up inside of me

And then I’d be mad!
