Poem -

It’s ok not to be ok

It’s ok not to be ok

When something hits you, like a bolt out the blue
Feeling stuck, looking through the rear view
When a pain pang erupts and puts you afew steps back
Feeling grief stricken at the past, yourself, you attack

When it’s just a tiny thing, that brings a memory from the past
It still doesn’t feel real, time flying by fast
When you feel like your drowning and there is no way out
It’s like living in a nightmare, no sound when you shout

When life is cruel and takes away your heart
When the show must go on, but you don’t know where to start
Take a deep breath, and think of one thing
Of the person who is protecting you, tucked under there wing

Take a breath and smile even if it feels wrong
Imagine there face, dance to there song
Don’t you worry about breaking down
It won’t be forever feeling sad with a frown

In time it somehow gets more doable by the day
And remember that it’s okay, not to be ok
Let your tears fall but always remember their love
For they will always walk beside you and mend your heart with love
