Jersey Shore

Jersey Shore

A town once safe but never touched.

People filled with happiness and cheer.

Where disasters never occur.

Then came the day she hit us.

No one knew of her deadly presents, until she made contact.

Winds of gusty air sifted the open sky.

Black tops and yards filled with sea mixtures.

Water of a fishy texture bombarded the living of people’s comfort.

Her name was, “Sandy”.

She was a beast among all beasts.

Tearing people away from their towns.

Damaging everything until there was nothing left.

But no matter how big of a disaster; we united as a community.

Always coming back stronger than ever.

Each day by the hour for years to come.
