Poem -

KEPT YOUR PROMISE--- I KEPT MINE

SUICIDES VINE GROWS INSIDE

Stiff this cold old blood
that rages drunk on times
enjoyable followed lies

The heart is folded
neatly placed in a broken lover
always climbing that hill

A coffin is soft
bottle is hard
dreams sneaking under
sneaking between
remembering is like
Christ returning to report
an ancient crime scene

Landlords banging
with the devil's claw
cannot understand I've already paid
haven't eaten for feasts are cheap
starvings the gift
for which we weep

laid beneath the braille sky
nights tender frame
creates imaginations fate

The Story is found
buried under new but held in old
reading lines creases
faces spread across sheeted glory

this door in my head
shut when I helped
you to bleed
promised me pain
slain while you slept

Now im bequeathed your  flying flesh
a kite worth losing
yet that pain
was given across silent words
carried in bottles of
green ocean glass
sent with an archers aim

promise you gave
kept by this thing
called me
