Kingfisher Takes Heed

Where the creek comes to its peak, after a heavy rain, the thunder brings life, to nature
It enriches the waters, it gives drink to the roots of the dogwoods, and the snakes swim
The turtles heads bob to the top, for a tease, and the dragonfly races by with speed
As the bull frog, raises his throat, the kingfisher perches on a stump of a broken down tree
The otter swims under the muddy banks, and the beaver, is eager, with his tail he breaks limbs
For his home, not that of a muskrat, it is just play, the splash of the bass, the catfish, scavenger, await for bait
The blue of his breast, the perky feather top head dress, he sings, and takes heed
To the beauty of his surrounding, as the sky is clearing, the clouds disappearing
The rainbow makes an archway bridge, let us take heed, and believe, its the calming, and we are safe
