Kings and Queens

Kings and Queens

Kings and Queens

Royalty lives on a council estate,Kings and Queens alike
Dressed in their fake finery no tiaras are in sight
Pushchairs carrying heirs to the gutter throne
Bastard children of missing dad's  parent XY is unknown
Faded love bites on fake tanned skin
All that remains from a one off night of sin
Hire purchase houses built on the never never
Council estate palaces but paying takes forever
Wedding dress by adidas baby bump by Nike
Having all your children with men you don't even like
Shopping in the reduced aisle for love as well as food
Your latest infatuations name upon your arm tattooed
Kings and knights in waiting gather in their groups
Weapons tucked in waistbands deter invading troops
Living room lights burn brightly all across the land
Council estate royalty where love is secondhand

I never got it at first but i think it’s a bout being in the royal family but deep down he knows it’s all currupt and he’s not proud of being in the family but he plays the part for respect.. am I right or am I out to lunch on that lol
