Wolves at my Door

Wolves at my Door

Wolves at my door
When the wolves from my past arrive at my door
They bring the reminder I’m the son of a whore
Locked in this cerebral castle no chance of escape
Your resentment it fills me,I’m the reminder of rape
Blame is your weapon and you use it well
Attaching the stigma that you wear so well.
Drape me in your shame, mute my young voice
It wasn't my fault,to be born not my choice
These wolves you created now feast on my thoughts
Twisting my memory so now it distorts
I was your son yours to love and protect
Now the wolves have arrived and want to collect.
I”ll keep the door locked for as long as I can
Years spent in denial have created this man
These locks have become rusted, the door starts to break
I wasn't the reason you lived with heartache.
