"LADY OF THE NIGHT

"LADY OF THE NIGHT

Lady of the night

come to me
give me a new life
set me free

Gripped by the anxiety

Anticipating the strike

There's nothing wrong

With biting

I saw you

A vision in black

You captured my sentience

But did not attack

When you appeared from the trees

I had to have you

As you came for me

There was no fear

Just the reflex

To your unforeseen kiss
What transpired next

I can still feel your whisper

And the ascension

Ironically I just posted a poem that began with the words "Come to me" as well, Mr. Wolf. In fact, it is also the title of the piece itself.
What are the odds of that happening?
In addition it is a poem featuring a dark, horror theme which is all the more coincidental.
As a writer and aficionado of dark poetry for many years, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your vampiric poetic tale.
Nice work!
