leap of Faith

My mind must cross a great divide
To get where I need to be
The great precipice, that separates;
My chance of being free
Standing at the edge, paralyzed
I see danger, on every side
I can't stand here, forever
I must make a move, decide
I tell myself; 
Take a leap,
 into the unknown 
And even i fall;
It's better to have tried and failed
Then to not have tried at all
So I gathered up my courage
Measured the distance in my minds eye
Ran headlong blindly forward, took a leap,
And discovered I could fly
Now, There isn't anything,
That could restrain me any more.
To hold back my destiny
Or contain my desire for more
Now I see clearly,
Just where I need to be
Now my eyes are fully open
I can clearly see
