Lemonade Sugar Ride

Lemonade Sugar Ride

I can hear someone calling out to take a chance
Not sure what they meant but I was willing to take a ride
You know the carni guys are wheeling and dealing pulling you in
There were people everywhere families children and pretty good lookin chicks
And I’m not talking about the ones that go cluck cluck
Paid tickets for rides not sure why as they made me dizzy til I would be sick
The Ferris wheel was ready two seats one for me and Betty Lou so sweet
Her bright blue eyes staring into mine her blonde hair shiny with banana curls
We got stuck at the top when it stopped way up high
That’s when I snuck a kiss she blushed so shy
The chair swinging as our feet dangling one last round
Fair food smells so good so hungry for a giant corn dog some ketchup and pile high of fries
And lemonade sugar shake with two straws we shared
Next before I knew it I was playing a game and ringed the top of a milk bottle
A giant  three foot stuffed panda bear the prize I win
It took me five different tries my pockets nearly dry
I handed it over and smiled as they cuddled
A day at the fair was more than I could bear
But the most fun of all was drinking from a double straw
Me and my gal drinkin lemonade sugar shake ups
Not once not twice but three times over
I must not forget the elephant ear doughnuts
Holding hands walking around riding the merry go round
A day at the fair my only  embarassing moment was my hiccups
