Dear Mama

               It's been a while since we talked,
               That's my fault
               I'm sorry that I walked
              Walked away from God
               From everything I knew
              It just didn't feel right anymore
              Not without you.

              I met a lovely boy
              He swears he loves me
              I think you would like him
              He'll treat me right, just watch and see
              I know I'm young to know
              But you were married 17
              I'll be careful though

              Daddy's ok, I promise
              I'm looking out for him
              Think he was a little lost
              He's happier now than then
              We'll stay together
              We'll keep each other sane
