Every day,
I imagine what It would be like, to be with you,
In my heart,
A picture of love, that will be for only us two.
The notes fly off, into the distance,
but the melody stays between us, as it is wont to do.
happy memories,
bittersweet and pure,
a time long ago,
where things were so assured.
What awaits me?
In a future, without you by my side?
What can I do?
Besides buckle up for the ride?
As the notes crest,
like the breaking sea,
I feel your warm arms,
in loving embrace around me.
I want you to leave me,
but I want you to stay,
What good is sanity anyway?
But as the notes fade away,
what little sunshine,
I have fades to grey...
