LITTLE GIRL WISHING

LITTLE GIRL WISHING

Little girl wishing
Wishing she was anywhere else
Looking out her window
She only had herself
She couldn't make any sense
Of what was going on
It broke her spirit, her innocent trust
She knew what was done, was wrong

Abandoned, abused
There was nothing she could do
She felt like a rag doll in the corner

After what she'd been through

She was used up and discarded
 Expecting to be thrown away
Yet in her little heart, she hoped
That she'd be helped one day
Little girl wishing
Wishing she was anywhere else
Looking out her window, to the world
But she only had herself

Thank you Linda! I try to relate to where people with trauma are now...  never having expressed their pain. Especially if they've never had a voice to tell their story.
