Loss

An old man sat in a white room waiting for forgiveness, But none is given
Rocking back and forth Waiting for the misery to override him once again Along comes the nurse to inject his pain away
All he wants is to be left alone Why can they not understand that?
All his vitality is gone, ripped apart by his loss His one true love, his only love She waits for him in the stars above
His light in the dark, his sun in the sky Without her he is nothing, Nothing but an emotionless shell
In his dreams she beckons towards him Always blocked by a ring of fire She opens her mouth but no words come out A silent tear glistening on both their cheeks
He knows that soon he will join her Once again they will be united
So many years ago but still the loss haunts him Soon they will be reunited
