LOST LITTLE BIRD

I feel like a lost little bird, sometimes
Left behind in the shivering cold
You're gone, you flew away from me
And my heart won't be consoled
Tears are melting from my eyes
There's a hole inside my heart
The day I lost my dearest friend
l began to fall apart
You told me; Everything's going to be just fine
But the pain won't go away
I feel the pain and the heartache
Of each lonely passing day
I lost my song, I cannot sing
My wings, they will not fly
Oh, how can I possibly carry on
Why did you have to die?
I feel like a lost little bird, sometimes
Wandering, lost and alone
How do I live without you
Tell me; How do I stand on my own?

Such loss and pain. Im so sorry for that. But its a beautiful piece of writing. The symbolism of the little bird is beautiful. My Papa always told me that little robin birds were looking over me and i think of him looking over me every time i see one x
Thank you Lauren: I love what you shared about your Dad. I love little birds, and they make me think about sparrows, and how God's eye is on the sparrow. And how God cares and watches over us! Â I think it's very interesting how people connect nature or an animal to knowing that their loved one is near... My family always looks for a "sign" of an eagle or a rainbow when we think of our deceased loved ones! Thank you for your comments!
