Love for me it's always been difficult you see

Find it hard to articulate the feelings stirring inside of me

I find it difficult to say, let my anger get in the way

I wish I could make you understand the pain I feel at times its unreal

I wish you could see the fire that burns in me, I protect it, mask it, make it difficult to see 

I'm honest and true and the thought of being without you makes my thoughts turn blue

I know I'm to blame, I created this pain. I wish you could understand how much I need you to hold my hand. Say it's alright that I can win this fight

I know you need time, and I'm willing  to step back if you'll be mine

I know I've been stupid, never been much of a friend to cupid

I canhonestly say without my pride getting in the way you make me smile everyday
