Malestroms of Manevolence

Tho' flesh is weak—our will is strong.
We all wear masks; hide from the throng.
From hideous humanity,
revealing not our frailty.
We'll let you see just what we want,
and all the while you sit and taunt.
You leering, jeering, bitter fools;
eyes blank as swirling whirlpools.
Vast malestroms of malevolence
have bled me dry–as recompense,
I'll go below, where sirens’ kiss
shall strip my soul in the abyss.
Â
Look closely, love, I think you’ll find
you’ve closed the door—unlock your mind.
You're not that different from me.
Are you so blind you cannot see?
Â
Â
What lies beneath my mask, you ask?
The answer may bring you to task.
For I’m not you, nor are you me,
yet we dare share our misery.

A perceptive excursion into mindset and inner turmoil delivers with a passionate impression . You understand dilemmas and conflict of philosophy so find manipulation of the to and throw relating to counter-arguments quite easy. Neat.
Warmest wishes.
Take care bud.

Dear Poet Brother DEAN!....... it is a scary and invigorating endeavor to take that 'Honest' assessment and new look at the YOU in the mirror!..... with the steely truth that you hold close to the vest when thumbing through the pages of the "Who you Are" and the "How you fit In" to this crazy-ass world......... and in keeping that arms-length from the would be invaders of one's most private thoughts and beliefs we ALL wear our own masks...... hey, self preservation is a natural instinct....... this poem is a gorgeous reflection of those most personal sentiments that so many of us never speak to openly!!......ALL STARS!!...... Love your stuff bro!!..... good lookin' out man!!....... peace.......T xo ❤✴✴❤?
Your assessments, or interpretation for lack of a better word, of my poetry is always insightful and on the money.
I'm so glad you stopped by to read and offer your opinions on this.
Thanks a bunch as always!!!

My Dear Dean,
I have known of dire juxtaposition too
For when I think of those that I love so true
I also feel hate, and bile then rise
As anger in my Soul, brings one I despise
.
These "Malestroms of Manevolence"
Engender such saddening suspense
For how can I think so dearly of my Soulmates
Yet, "The Son Of Satan" so hate
Love you,
Larry xxx
