Massacre

Massacre

People of  rural dwellings
The soil their only source of livelihood
With very little belongings
The nation they feed with their produce

They are happy living one day at a time
They live their lives as each day comes
Giving thanks to God as the clock chimes
and praying for yet another day to come

What would befall them none is aware
Neither do they have premonition of what
Lies lurking in the dark and thus to beware
And innocently they retire for the night

The devil’s cohort the herdsmen
On those innocent souls they descent
Unleashing the devil’s fury from hell
Killing father, mother and children

With heartless zeal and much vigor
Wiping a whole generation in their sleep
Slitting their throats, causing death with much ardor
Reasons for their action no one has a peep

In mass grave the victims are interred
Their innocent blood crying out for justice
but nobody cares as their woes are unheard
and their killers left to live in freedom, such injustice

Their killers await another unsuspecting people
Those who would mistake them for friends
And take them in as neighbors just to unleash their evil
Then yet again wipe them out and leave… their trend

The soil is yet drenched with blood of the guiltless
Who has no crime but being impoverish peasants
Little wonder if those killers are faceless
Or maybe they are the devil’s decedents

To famine the nation is being driven
As they are the agricultural laborers
Food shortage in the nearest future foreseen
God help us if we don’t stop this bloodbath

Hi Sweet Rose your poem is so sad an atrocity
that this killing is happening, to good hard working people
Such a tragic story you have written
I feel  your outrage and disbelief in your
words, I pray to god this stops for the good
of your country My friend
Great awareness write. Good job
Lots of love Debs

It's very sad Debs...you wake up everyday with the news of one or the other village being attacked...You wonder if those people are faceless...and the reason for the attacks is still unknown...The implication of their act is affecting the whole country...Thanks for you support...I really appreciate

My Sweet Rose,

These inhumane ghouls prey upon the innocent farmers.  To what end, no one knows.  These are the soldiers of unknown evil ones.   Who could bring such genocide to their fellow countrymen?  Abominations of mankind, these animals need be annihilated.  But who will send armies to do it?  Thank you, Sweet Rose, for standing up and bringing this to the attention of the world.

Love,

Daddio xxx

This piece is really well written sweetie. Why do those monsters do such terrible evil? What do they hope to gain from it all?....... All those poor lost innocent souls are in my prayers and I pray that their families get justice and find peace and I send them all my love too.

God bless my little Rosebud, I`m so very proud of you sweetie
