Master of Charades

Master of Charades

Little whisperer.
Little trickster.
Circling and spiralling you are
Tip toe all around.
Bent, stretched and turned
Little Master. Tongue twister.

With countless prying ears
Must I talk in my dreams?
With your spoken codes
Must I decipher to find your schemes?

Hidden behind this charade
Might you step onto the stage?
Before you decide to fade
ACT! ACT! ACT!
Don’t barricade and disappear beyond the shade
Of the continuation of this charade

You’ve betrayed me once more
Your reflection of self
Traded for an upscale blade
For the portrayed being you’ve made
No more, you shall serenade
Farewell, Master of Charades

Hello Crimson, this has some fabulous wording throughout.

"Don’t barricade and disappear beyond the shade
Of the continuation of this charade"

Brilliant writing, you clearly provide the reader with the imagery and feeling of someone hiding behind a false persona.

A great write that reminds us all to stay true to ourselves

Thanks for sharing and welcome to Cosmo
