"MELANCHOLY"

"MELANCHOLY"

I made myself believe

That it must be

The rustling of the wind

Against the leaves

The sound of the crickets

Serenading the dusk

And the feeling lingered

Like a wraith in my soul

The misty gloom

Of the pale moonlight

I was wistful

Fighting a fierce battle within

Throwing my head back

A howl ripping the air

Wolfbane sends his message

To the Goddess of the hunt

Live again

Deepness surrounds me

I gaze up as humbly

As I know how

Seeking understanding

I myself enjoy the soothing sounds of crickets serenading the dusk, Mr. Wolf.
While there is a peaceful serenity to your poem here there's also an underlying tension that slowly builds then mounts.
Suffice it to say that I enjoyed the read.
