Memories disappeared

Memories disappeared

I look in the mirror to wash a vaguely familiar face but it's someone I used to know
Time flashed by, I found myself stood at the garden gate

I stared into space at the nameless faces, it's very busy for seven in the morning,
Started to wonder if my alarm had gone off too late

An elderly woman rushes up towards me, yelling Ted you're still in your pyjamas
I then decided, work will just have to wait

She took me inside explaining that my nurse will be calling round soon
Confused I can't get my head straight

This woman seems to know me but from where I do not know
She told me her name is Kate

Strangely she's in a photo on the sideboard wearing a wedding dress
Perhaps the groom was late
