The Moment I Met Him
The moment I met him
I knew I would let him
Break into my heart
And tear it apart
The eyes of a dreamer
A destined deciever
The stories he told
Begged me to explore
The places he'd been
Like a magnet drawn in
He's different I'm sure
This ones heart is pure
Loved without fear
Trusted the years
He played on my fears
And laughed at my tears
Discounted my dreams
We never became a team
Still love him today
Still hate what he did
He'll never be sorry
Next girl ,same story
The moment she met him
She knew she would let him

this has such a 'pure' tempo Jamie, the reader was hearing it like a drum beat...I love that....then you had superb content as well as Β taking an unusual twist by repeating the start at the end, that is really smart; as you're saying that the next scenario will play out as the first....even if you didn't have superb wordplay; and you did have that....on style alone this would be an excellent poem; still delightfully buzzing in my head....favoured this one....cheersΒ Β
