Mommy Dearest

i just wanted you to know,Â
you are the best mother,
for your love doesn’t grow,Â
but was born,
at the exceeded level,Â
eternal, internal,Â
blood thicker than water,
the one known relationship
to last a life,Â
is mother and daughter,Â
i’d break bones and bend bricks,
to hear your words and your wits,
the calmness i feel,
while having you near,
without you i’d be lost,
broken, in dust,Â
the drug to my sanity,
is mommy dearest,Â
there’s nothing like family,
the lessons helped the student,
thank god, the teacher wasn’t stupid.Â
for I’m proud of who i’ve become,Â
and this was your lecture,Â
you keep it from coming undone,
and you see,Â
i guess i won,
because your mine,
and not theirs,Â
because your arms stretch huge,
open heartedly,Â
with groove,
there’s nothing i won’t do,
for my mamma,
it’s true,
she’s been there for me through everything,
over mountains, over dudes,
I know she won’t tell a thing,
about the secrets we share,
the number one fan,Â
im the athlete man,
mommy dearest,Â
it’s true,
im nothing without you,
and i just want you to know,
you are the best mother
