Morning

Morning

Twas beauty that beheld the morning gaze
Her whispers of a promise in the dawn
To coax with love from light of which she bathed
A soft alluring momentary yawn
Perusing, with her optimistic eye
Her steady hands doth gently lull the land
To shred the night, which occupied the sky
Evoke the sun, who’ll rise to take command
A serenade of sweet melodic sounds
Had splintered through the somber air, she traced
For morning, time itself can know no bounds
As she proceeds to seed the day with grace
First blush, transfixed to bid the night adieu
Content to ever birth each day anew

There are certain echoes, and words and ten syllables per line within your more than well written sonnet Gwen, that even the Great Bard would be proud of to have written.
He would if alive, perhaps salute you with his quill.
Very well done and thensome, a real gemstone and real poetry treat also.
And when you put your mind to something and with pen in hand, it is a real joy to see what arises.
Thank you for writing something original and poetically so.
Great poem. Great writing.
Shaun. x.

Thank you my friend. I have been practicing my sonnet writing of late. Enjoying ensuring the structure is correct. I am so pleased you picked up on my hard work :) Then to compliment my writing by mentioning the Great Bard himself, it can’t get any better really. Thank you tenfold for your kindness and support towards my writing. You are a true treasure on every level when it comes to poetry. Thank you for giving my work your time xx
