My autistic son in Care

My autistic son in Care

You were taken from your home
by a judge that had never met you
without anyone asking you what you wanted
to leave to in a home and forget you
you now hurt yourself everyday
when I see you I cry
as you show me your wrists, bleeding
and a big bump on your head
no one knows how it happened
must of been while he was in bed
you have knocked a teacher unconsciousΒ
which never happened before
youve been held down like a convict
with your face pressed to the floor
you have seizures that no one witnesses
seizures that could kill
at home I would stay up all nightΒ
to watch over you
and you never hurt the teachersΒ
or had to be restrained to the ground
so they changed your medication without a word
and still you have seizuresΒ
so maybe it wasn't that I didn't give him his meds
and maybe his moods in school only got bad when you took him wayΒ
from the life he had known for seventeen years
never had a broken bone,Β
but once I was blamed for putting cigarettes out on your arms
which was proved to of been psoriasisΒ
they lied and told everyone I hurt you
and no one treated me like a human
i never hurt my wonderful son
he was my everythingΒ
every minuit of every day
from being born to being taken away
