"My Duty"

"I have tried,
countless times,
to successfully use,
but drugs and alcohol,
were something,
I would always abuse.
One was too many,
too many to take.
They were the worst habits,
that I had to break,
to become a good person,
because my condition and addiction,
would always worsen.

I work the 12 Steps,
pray,
then write it all down,
that is how my serenity,
always hangs around.

I have to give back,
to all of you,
freely and fully,
God gave me this task,
it is my duty,
to help others,
help open their eyes,
and pull out the Devil in them,
and destroy all his lies."
