My Forsaken Friend

My Forsaken Friend

In juxtapose, you posed as my friend
While crying 'poor me', shedding tears of pretend
Yet I held my tongue upon your every word
My compassionate heartĀ assured that you were heard
And it seems so absurd, that I gave you my time
Because every line tripped me in clandestineĀ

I hoped that your feelings were strong
but from you,
all I knew
meant this had to be wrong.

An adjacent plane between pleasure and pain
where our avenue's met at some parallel plane
Then I tried to explain,Ā
in vain,Ā yet again...
Ā  Ā 'Between heaven and hell
Ā  Ā our brain's work the same'.

WhyĀ thisĀ friendship was granted a guaranteed glitch
isĀ howĀ beauty disguisesĀ itself as a bitch.
A vivacious and vicious witch soon emerges
PurgingĀ the suppressed, most sinisterĀ urges
MarringĀ each thought with such mindlessĀ emotion
soon doomedĀ to defendĀ devout bouts of devotion.

An EvidentĀ Explosion!
This most poisonous potionĀ
should never be tastedĀ
nor used as a lotion.
Where it's words will be wasted
left chiseled in chalk
is the place your toxic talk takes a walk

So I bid you farewell just before our birthdays
as I waitĀ here for fateĀ
hope you’ll join me some day.
As my friend,Ā don’t be late
should our paths reconnect
I'll be there,Ā on that date
Mark my words, stand correct
Upon my epitaph
Our path leads to....

Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā THE (our) END.Ā

Ā  Ā  Ā  Well I think you do...
