Reflections of the Mind

Each time I move, I feel the burning wound of time
My legs are crippled with knotted bones of disease
My eyes are blind, I see no more death before me
I only feel my pain in my heart, it continues to bleed
For the many decades of hunger and loss, those that have died
In the spirit world, we live forever, our native mind will carry on
Until life passes once again, the fish will swim again
They will come up for feeding time, catching the flies
As the waters clear, we will see our images
Reflections from the trees through the clearing moss
