My Reflection

My Reflection

You may not hear me, you may not see me, though I am beautiful

I am standing in the water, and I feel the sand beneath my feet,  I live

I embrace the time, and I smell the scent of fragrant breeze,  the snails, and the clams

I bow down to the water, with my beak, I feel my throat become cold, and it cools me

I have long legs, and a towering body, but I am feathered with colors of glee

And I have the sight of a hawk, and my love for life will never die

My reflection in these current paths will take me here and there

And when I find the one I love, I shall be free to spread my wings and I will rise

My reflection will be in the writings of the waters and in the sky I will no longer be shy
