My Wishing Bone

Each year dad and I would have this game, we would play it with the wishing bone
Inside the turkey we would find, and then pull and tug, him on one side, and I pulled the other
Whoever got the longest bone would be the one to make the wish and hope that it come true
Turkey, pheasant, chicken, and quail each time we would find that bone, and next time I would win
Now I made my wish, it was the same almost each time, now the story goes if you told your wish it would not come true
But since it so long ago, I think I can tell it now, my wish you see, was to pray to thee that if I would die
You would take care of me and the family that I love, and we would all be safe forever
In your arms one day, that's what my wish entailed, so now I have a collection of all the sizes
Of each wishing bone from every bird, and my wish is still the same, and I am still asking
For the wish to come true and be blessed by you this day

A wish that we all have wished. This is a nice look back on your life and what wonderful times you had with your father. The write itself is a good one that flows well out of the mouth when read! Good job, Anthony
Thanks Anthony, I loved looking for the wishing bone and having this fun, simple and yet so much meaning!
Thanks Again
Nancy
