Nebula
Remnants of ancient red giants,
Sparks from young supernovas,
Wakes of celestial voyagers-
Stardust, long adrift in nothingness
Desperately seeking community
Warp across space by unseen forces
Restlessly gathering at a galactic horizon.
Â
A playground for gravity-
Irresistible attractions,
Collisions upon collisions,
Innumerable nucleic explosions,
Countless unseen implosions,
A raging cauldron of entropy
Threatening to rip itself apart.
Â
And yet it is an aspiring whole,
An undiscovered singularity.
Soon there will be a stable warmth,
There will be a unique radiance,
A peerless stellar energy.
Soon,
There will be Light!

There are very interesting parallels between the development of a luminous human personality and the birth of a star.

Hello Sambit...
WOW!
The comparison of the parallels between the development of a luminous human personality and the birth of a star.
Sounds like the life workings of a special child to adulthood to becoming the grand finale...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...

This is very sweet and generous of you Sparrow; sincerely appreciated. :-)
The parallel I most wish to convey is, just like a star's born in raging fires, a luminous human persona emerges having withstood the toughest of circumstances.
In one of Conan Doyle's shorter stories (the precise one escapes me at the moment), Sherlock Holmes likens the vast population of London to a collection of atoms each jostling and resonating with the others.
Your cosmic imagery here and the deliberate parallels underneath reminded me of that...for some reason.
Insightful, thought-provoking and written with your usual charm and energy.

Shukriya so much Jason! This poem can't possibly get a better review. Am very humbled.
