never ending nights

she was beautiful.Â
her glossy tired eyes & tasseled wavy hair.Â
the way you could toss & turn for hours until you felt nauseous at the simple thought of her.Â
her dainty hands intertwined in yours as if the sun seemed to rise & set without a care in the world.Â
roof top dances & blurred city lights made the rest of the world non-existent.
she was the peak of existence itself.Â
nothing else mattered other than where she started & ended.Â
days weren’t real and nights lasted forever
time slowed & sped up all at the same timeÂ
bliss.Â

But the sun does rise and set without a care in the world, doesn't it, sorrowfulsins?
As sure as the birds sing, the wind whispers in the trees, and all rivers flow into the ocean.
Mother Nature has her own agenda.
But, I get it.
When we're in love, it's as if the earth stops spinning, the rain smells sweeter as all of our senses are heightened.
Then when the object of our desire draws nigh, cocoons of gossamer-winged butterflies burst loose in our stomachs.
Nicely penned—a well written contemporary freestyle poem.

why thank you. that line in particular was more so to say that time was flying by without the two people realizing it.
Yes, it does, sorrowfulsins.
You're right about that.
The pleasure was all mine.
