New Age Sanity

New Age Sanity

War on terror, war on drugs

War on the poor&war on the thugs,

We work for the bullets and bombs

We work for murderers and liars

&from their mouths truth transpires,

Hidden amongst the rubble

Children’s dreams

We’re paying for their anguish

We’re paying for their screams,

Money can’t buy happiness

But it’s enough to buy misery

We watch it from the television dynasty,

&now time for art sublime in fame’s image

Bodies compressed&

Readdressed to suit beauty’s assault,

&the worst part is its nobody’s fault

Apart from your own,

Skin & bone skin & bone.
